What should i cut

So i picked up a New nike Sumo 5000 with a V2 reg flex but they send it stock at 45.75" which i feel is way too long want to take it down at least a inch or so,

So my question is i want to bring down the ball flight a little so would tip trimming this help or not?

Before you cut anything try it by gripping down an inch and see what that does for you. it may be just fine like that. Then if it is remove an inch from the butt. Of course the tip section is a little more flexible therefore if you tip trim it will stiffen it a bit more than if you butt trim it. but if you do make sure you have enough PTS(parallel tip section) to allow you to do so. Most of all the number one factor in changing in changing ball flight is loft.
