Golf In Syracuse
A friend was in Syracuse on the Easter weekend and said there was no snow and that there were golfers out.
Anyone know how to find out where?

I was in Syracuse over the weekend, and it's definitely very early days. The ground is still quite wet, and it's still below 10ºC during the day right now, and near 0ºC overnight. I'd say it'l be a good 3 weeks before any quality golf is available there.

Liverpool golf club and Foxfire, both about 3.5 hrs away, I preferred Liverpool.

I played both Liverpool and FoxFire, I would prefer Foxfire when it is dry, and Liverpool when the course is wet. Hole # 2 at Liverpool is nice, par 3 over the water to the green.

I am always up for a road trip, I guess we will see what the forecast holds for next weekend, and if carts are allowed out. I know when we went to Liverpool in January, they were allowing carts out, as everyone golfing was carting it that day.

Well, I have been asked to leave the house overnight on Saturday the 19th of April so if any of you want I will offer up my vehicle to drive there but I want to stay overnight and play again the next day and then head back. So I was thiinking of playing 18+ on the Saturday (depending on when we leave) and another 18 on the Sunday morn and then head back. I would have room for 2 other guys plus bags. I think Craig already showed interest how about ou Andy?

Hey Luc,
I am interested, I am sure the wife would have no problem with me leaving for a couple of days to go and golf.

Sounds good guys, I will see if they will take tee times for that weekend yet, if not we can get there early enough to get at least 18 in on the Saturday and Sunday. Let's see, me Craig and McGoo, that should be about 12 drivers between the 3 of us!! I will call Radisson Greens, Foxfire and Liverpool.

This will not be a club tryout trip, I am in the mood for some serious golf, I will only take one driver.
I have made a deal (and reserved six rooms) with the Radision Hotel Syracuse for Friday and Sat. nights; $79 plus 13% tax, breakfast and one cocktail per day included double or quadropule occupancy. How's that for a deal; $90 per person taxes in, for two nights (two queen beds) including two breakfasts and two after-golf strong drinks.
Judy said that rooms are scarce for Sat. night and are $119 plus tax for ordinary people, but I have to release them on Wed. if I cannot confirm, and this deal is only available to me because I am such a nice guy.
With the late season opening we are going to experience, this is the oppertunity to start the season normally.

Drivers
How come I only get 1, I say McGoo can have 8 and you and I 2 each, unless I get my X-1 then I will have 3. Man, I have a problem
I am going to start a thread on arrange a game to see who else is interested as McGoo is holding some rooms until Wednesday in Syracuse for the Friday (18th) and Saturday nights (19th). If we have enough interest we can maybe ask for a reduced green fee from the courses.Lefty Lucas

I wonder if Turning Stone courses Kaluhyat(Robert Trent Jones Jr.) and Shenendoah(Rick Smith) are open.......??? They say April 1 on the website.....*Weather Permitting*......
http://www.turningstone.com/golf/greenfees/
The Atunyote (Tom Fazio) where they held last falls PGA tour event does not open until May 1.
Turning Stone Resort & Casino is only 20 minutes east of Syracuse."So many moving parts. Your whole body's moving, and this ball is not moving. It's standing still, laughing at you." Tiger Woods
