Don't let the Trophy reside in Toronto for the a year, it might give the Leafs hope. Don't let down the OG Forum. Otherwise you will have to face hostile supporters, like the Senators did this year. This is not a forgiving sports town.
Those who excel must not shrink under pressure, no matter how much they party.

The signs that the city has posted all over the place might be a downer for JV, but I thought I should let him know about the "Tulip Restriction". Apparently any "fruitful" colors are banned inside the city limits all weekend.

Well just got back from dinner and a few brews and finally got connected. What a great day of golf for a few. The Saint won the most on the skins and geranamo had the best game shooting a really good 75. The rest of us well we had fun. Indio had three birdies and the rest we won't mention. Ironmaster didn't get to the course until our back nine and I'm sure he will tell all about his episode at the border where he's still shaking from his experience with the officials. Hoolio had an unfortunate death in the family and didn't make it down until we were just about finished but did great us on the 18th finishing off his first picther.
Make sure you bring a few cans of bug spray as we were getting carried away on the front nine. Course is in great shape although the greens aren't as fast as they look but running pretty good.
Let's have some fun a whoop those Toronto guys tomorrow.

I would just like to assure everyone that we have TGN right where we want them. They do not stand a chance against the powerhouse called OTTAWA GOLF!!
As an ancor of the team tomorrow I guarantee victory!
Ps....every TGN player with the exception of Manny have been in bed since 8:30

Even though we got thumped pretty mightily by the TG boys, I'd still like to express how much fun this weekend was. Thanks to all who made this a great experience.
I'd also like to give this years party animal award to Mr. Chris St. Michael. Well done you old fart!
Until next year...Last edited by The Saint; 05-26-2008 at 08:24 AM.

The event was great , the opposing team were a great bunch of guys , they could play pretty good as well , couldn't quite party as hard as the OG boys though , maybe the results reflect that .
At the end of the day ... It gets dark

Unfortunately we did not come out on the winning end this year but it was definitely fun again.
It was good to play with / meet some of the other guys from the forum.
Gerry, do you have a good picture of the hoolio/paulio team from today? They were styling in their matching outfits. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Sak will be very displeased if you neglect to mention that he also received a donation of those stomach contents.

It was a great weekend although we got thumped. The guys we played against were a lot of fun. It was helpful for TWoody to be playing on his home course and knew the greens pretty good today. Although Pinshark and I didn't play that bad we both lost 1 up but good matches to the 18th. Chris tried to talk me into keeping him in line last night and I'm sure glad I passed on that one.
If you ever run into the "two time" marshal of the year at Trillium you're in for a treat as his ego is so flippin' big and I don't think he's happy if he's not pissin' someone off.
Anyway thanks to the TGN guys who were a lot of fun. We'll bring our ringers out next year or maybe we'll just drink a bit more.

I'll try to put a few pictures up tomorrow night if I get a chance to resize some of them. I just wish I'd had the camera last night at dinner to show the waitresses face when hoolio ate the bread bag.

Good thing you're not a doctor that "guaranteed" a patient they'd survive!!!
All jokes aside, I had an absolute blast this year. Yes, it was sweet to take the cup for our captain but I know I've made a bunch of new "golf buddies" and that any time I venture down to the Ottawa area, I know I'll have no trouble finding a game.
Tanner, Andrew and Bob, it was a pleasure playing with you guys - Brad and I had a blast.
And, again, another well deserved thank you to the captains - all of your hard work was most appreciated!Proud Member of the '07, '08, '09, '11 & '12 TGN Ryder Cup Team!!!

I think we lost our mojo when Sakuraba shaved his super-stache.

Knew them well? First time I've seen them this year. As a matter of fact this weekend was the first time I've played this year. But my memory is sure good for an old guy.
All joking aside, this weekend was a good as I anticipated. Great people, great weather and some outright fantastic fun. Two years in a row you people and this event have made my golf season.
My hats off to Geoff and Scott for the work they did to make this possible. You both deserve to stand up and take a bow. To all the participants, thank you for being what this game truly is. Your families, the courses you represent and the Ottawa Golf Forum community should be proud you.
If you passed on this event in the past, you want to get your name in for the future. Especially since you guys don't want to get your butt handed to you again next year.

T'was a great weekend. It would have been nice to stay and not have to drive back to Smiths Falls on Saturday night. Was a pleasure getting to meet and play with Hoolio, as well.
It was great to see Sakaruba's moustache! His shaving did ruin our chances. Next time I will be staying in B-Ville!
Thanks for putting everything together, Geoff!Last edited by The Saint; 05-26-2008 at 09:00 AM.
