    Shaft Profile Question???

Does anyone know how to find out the profile of a graphite shaft?
I have an X100 and love the way the shaft feels
Unfortunately the shaft weight is too much for the newer driver heads and I am trying to find out some technology links or data to find a shaft that has teh same profile but half the weight

    Please no HBO's

I actually asked this same question a few years ago and got no response. So we will see if there are any answers this time.
    Back at it.

You can buy shaft profile S/W, which I believe includes a database, from Wishon Golf.

Another alternative is to check out the DSFI ratings on the Hireko/Dynacraft site.

Tom Wishon Golf Technology profiles shafts and offers software containing information for about 350 shafts. Using a 454 g tip weight he measures the frequency of each shaft at, 11", 16", 21", 26", 31", 36" and 41" from the tip.

Your TT DG X shaft has frequencies of 738, 452, 327, 273, 231, 194 and 174 cpms respectively. Three shafts of similar profile are:
    Graffaloy Prolite 45, S
    UST HTD 60, S
    Harrison Striper Pro, R

Keep in mind that the shafts main contributions to the club are FEEL and TOTAL WEIGHT. I am sure that you know the feel will be totally different from the TT DG, even though the bending of the shaft throughout your swing, will be similar.

Is there a list or link to a web site with all of these profiles?
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Not aware of any, although I am sure that someone, somewhere has done a lot of profiling. Perhaps Tim Hewitt at "myostrichgolf" has done some.

I just purchased the software from Wishon for my own use.

There is this new website where you can join and view some profiles. It's free.
It's only been around for 2 months.

Thanks for the link. They have my favourite wood shaft in the database already (Saber 75) so I can look for an equivalent!
