    Frankly, I can't speak to the players that were before my time. How do i know what Richard or Beliveau or Plante did aside from looking at stats. So, from what I've actually seen...

    wow, not a single person put hasek on their top 5 ever?? i admit he was on the bubble but i have just never seen a goalie change a game like he did. Best player on the ice evertime. Was the most dom. goalie ever

    I'd take Roy over Hasek any day. He didn't just change the games he played in. He changed the position of goalie forever.

    Sorry Spackler, you just missed out. sillywilly got the answer. Wayne Gretzky wasn't drafted. He started in the WHA, and then came over with the Oilers in the merger.

    Have to agree with you on Dryden. He only played for 8 seasons but won 6 Stanley Cups... the first two of which he won pretty much all by himself . When he retired at age 30 the great Canadiens dynasty of the 1970s immediately ended.
