I use Intelligolf without the GPS... just for tracking scores and stats. It has a nice interface on the BB and downloads rounds to your PC for statistical analysis... and sits on my BB that I'd have in my pocket or golf bag anyway during a golf round.

I've looked into getting a Bluetooth GPS unit to pair with it but haven't done so yet. From my research the newer BBs that have GPS built-in use a single chip GPS that has less accuracy than a separate unit would have so I'm leery of how good it would work as a yardage tool. Even some of the separate GPS units say that they have an accuracy range of +/- 10 yards which isn't a big deal for getting driving directions but is a pretty big deal if you're trying to get an accurate yardage for your golf shot.

I'd be interested to hear others' experience in terms of the accuracy of the separate GPS units. From my reading, courses like the Marshes that have cart-based GPS use a combination of satellite GPS and a land-based transmitter that triangulates with the satellite signals to vastly improve yardage accuracy. Do the handheld GPS units give you more or less the same yardage every time from the same spot or are there variations that you have to take into account?
