we played it last year, although in 70km/h winds and teed off when it is +1C. It was really dry last year, heck all of MB was, though I hear things are better this year....

We've also played Arrowhead and Long Bay of those. Long Bay is a real challenge with a lot of elevated, well guarded greens. The short game will have to be top notch to score there.

    Jeff,

    How are you getting down?

Not until Novembe, although I may squeeze in a trip in August. I'm hoping to use Myrtle Beach Air out of Plattsburgh. Getting down there in less than 8 hours is really appealing! Especially for $200 return!

I think I looked at that, but it's a long way to drive for a flight...the way home would be worse. The price is right though.

We are booked via Detroit (just over 5 hours) on the way down and Washington (just over 4 hours) on the way back, $567 all in. Those are pretty good connections, though the last couple of years, they have changed them on us.

Plattsburgh is about 3 hours and the flight is 2 hours direct from a small airport to a small airport. I know guys who fly this airline out of Niagara Falls NY and it's sweet.

I heard on the radio this AM a statistic that over 26% of domestic US flights were late last year. Makes a good argument for taking direct flights where possible.

ya, though I would have a hard time talking the guys into a 3hr drive....we have done the flight into Raleigh in the past and driven the 3 hours from there to MB and we just got sick of the drive - especially going home.

Our Toronto crew often flies out of Buffalo.

I would say its more like 50% in the winter. Travelling in the US at this time of year is not fun.
