Removing the crappy stuff from Stickers
Does anyone have any great ideas as how to remove the residue left by labels and stickers on the shaft? It annoys the hell out of me. Any suggestions would be awesome!!

Use anything alcohol based and a scouring pad preferibly steel wool.
Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

you may laugh but butter/margarine works quite well. Just make sure to clean it afterwards

Heat gun first, and some paint thinner cleans it up.

Nothing works better or quicker than lighter fluid IMO - I use it all the time and it basically disolves away the goo........
