the "TUCKER" puck
The NHL had been testing a new type of puck and had passed it around various NHL teams, alphabetically, to get their opinion. Finally they get around to Toronto and the NHL official arrives at the Air Canada Centre and meets Cliff Fletcher.
"Here you go sir, this is the "Tucker" puck... oops! I mean here's the new type puck. Let us know what you think of it."
Fletcher frowns and suspiciously asks, "Say, why'd you call it the Tucker puck?"
The official looks embarrassed and says, "Well, it's what the other teams have christened it..."
"Why?"
"It's unstable, doesn't handle being hit very well, isn't much good on the ice and won't be appearing in the playoffs."
