questions about Studio Stainless 303 Pro platinum Newport 2.5
I do not know very much about Scotty Cameron putters...I've been mostly an Odyssey man. A friend of a friend wants to selling his used Studio Stainless 303 Pro platinum Newport 2.5 in good condition. With no headcover nor scotty grip. I might be interested.
Is the pro platinum model the old one without the insert?
How much would this be worth? Say $125...too much...too little.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think there was ever a Newport 2.5 in Pro Platinum, just a Newport 2. The Pro Platinum line was carbon steel with nickel plating, it has a softer feel than the stainless heads. As for the Studio Stainless 2.5, it's a great putter. $125 is a pretty good price if it's in decent shape, even without a cover or grip. No inserts with the Studio Stainless line. Studio Styles have inserts.
