    Daytona Beach?

I'm heading to Daytona Beach in Feb. and should be able to get out for a round or two. Any recommendations out there? I understand the municipal course is a great value.

    Cheers,

    Chris

I am currently in the Daytona area and have been having a great time, the weather to date has been stellar.
The Daytona Municipal (North Course) is a good course, nice greens, Riviera is a nice course, slow greens but very nice fairways, Riverbend is a nice layout but not in the best of condition's, LPGA either course (I prefer the Legends) are great but expensive. Those are the close in area courses with lots of others in easy driving distance.
Unfortunately as of January 1st they all raised there prices to gouge the snow birds.
Lots of other things to see and do in the area, check out my blog if you are interested.
    Have fun!

Play th eLPGA, it's on;y around $60 after 12pm and it includes cart. DEf. the nicest course in the area. It has two courses one links style and the other is more a north american style. I preffer the N.A which I think is the legends course. For $60 bucks with GPS carts it is well worth it when you compare the cost of premium course up here.

WOW, $60 watch the rates they seem to change a lot.
Currently the morning rate is $119.
I suggest you Please call 386-274-LPGA for pricing being as no internet pricing is avaliable!
The high season press for pricing and profit taking is on, especially with the Daytona 500 week coming, followed by Bike week followed by spring break.
    Have fun, life is great.

I go every year and never pay more then $60. There is a time restriction I think after 12pm or 2 pm.

    Hi Denis
I to have played LPGA for as little as $48 in the off season at an off time.
I suggest that the deals this time of the year are not as good so call the telephone number and find out for yourself for the requested time, easy thing to do.
PS: still using and enjoying the GAP Wedge I bought from you.

Thanks for the advice, golfmajic! Played the Daytona Beach North Course and was impressed. Also played the New Smyrna Beach muni and liked it, but the pace of play was very slow (it was in the afternoon, but 5.5 hours is waaaay too long for a round of golf).

The deal at the LPGA was $40 after 2 pm cart included; unfortunately I couldn't fit that in. Next year for sure!

    Cheers,

    Chris

I'll add Cypress Head to the list of must plays. Nice track! the LPGA was 455 after 12pm last week. Miss the weather already.
