maybe im way behind, but as i havent been out that way until last week, i noticed that edgewood was no longer called edgewood..has new ownership taken over and are they planning on upgrades to the course, or is it just a name change..

I heard a rumour that they were putting fairway bunkers down the right side of all of their fairways and putting bunkers approximately one club short of each green.

When so many golf courses are trying to "Tiger-ize" the course to make it harder, Copperdale (Edgewood) is trying to "Geoff Johnston-ize" the course to make it harder

Just kidding, but I think I'm right in the name of Copperdale.

gumby, at the end of last year some of the work/changes planned were taking place while the course was still open and playable. For some holes they'd put a temporary green in for a few days while they worked on certain areas of certain holes.

But the course is supposed to be playable this year with most of the changes ready. Of course there will be the finishing touches needed here and there, but from what I understood the ownership do not plan on closing the course this season at any time. I do believe they have an open house near the end of March/beginning of April at which point I'm sure lots of questions will be answered.
