I want to hear "Arrows" by the Ventures at the next fun day. Classic guitar piece--I'm probably the only one old enough to remember it Oh yeah, McGoo should too
    Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I'm totally hooked on GHII on the 360, not very good at it still struggling through the hard level but having a blast with the songs.
Haven't been able to get III yet, hopefully there will be more stock in the new year and I'll grab it, looking forward to the wireless guitar.
I wish they would release the 80's version for the XBOX 360...I think that one would be a trip down memory lane.

Everyone who is addicted to this game really needs to watch the South Park episode about it. It pretty much nails it spot-on.

...and the reason that there is so much hype about it is because most of us CANNOT play a real guitar and this is as close as we'll ever come

I swear my job sometimes feels like virtual. I go home and feel like I wasn't even there because I accomplished/did nothing.

I heard that GHIII is a PS2 based game and unless you have the 60GB or 80GB PS3 version it won't work for your PS3. I have the 40GB PS3 version, and although I'm still contemplating the purchase of this game, with this bit of info if might make my decision much easier. Can anyone confirm this?

If you buy the GH III for the PS III you'll be fine........it also comes for the PS II.

I've heard that some PS III owners, who were too impatient to wait for the PS III version, bought the PS II version and encountered some errors.

BTW - did you do the whole game face thing in Tiger Woods 08?? I picked that one up last night........the system is rendering my ugly mug right now - I see smoke coming from my system.......is that bad??

    Thanks Hacker.

I didn't upload a self pic, I just did the CG face thing and tried to make my guy look like me. Didn't really turn out, but I'd say it's close. I had lots of fun trying it anyways. I may try to upload a pic at a later date. LMK how it turns out.

I would just download Frets On Fire if I wanted GH3 you can get all the same songs for it and it's free.

    http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net/

I will however be getting rock band for myt PS3

I get a real kick out of making my game face look like my own as much as possible. They should offer this feature on gh3.

I played Guitar Hero II and then I tried RockBand witch is the same thing as GH but with drums, microphone and a bass if you already have GH. Check this out.

Check this lead guitar solo. Might be too hardcore for some of you:

also addicted to rock band ... getting ready to perform the 'endless setlist' which will be one hell of a marathon.

on the plus side, not all is lost, as I have gone back to playing the real guitar after a few years off thanks to these games.

Same goes, Nat. I haven’t touched a guitar in 5 years. RockBand has given me the urge to play again.

I’ve played some drums in the past also. All kinds of slash backs.

So what's the scoop on Rock Band?? Playable solo? I read a review that said you need a minimum of 2 to play..........

solo career is available on all modes (singing, drums, guitar .. no bass)

Although I'll warn you, the guitar tour is really really easy. I sight read 5*'d every song on hard, and sightread passed every song on expert, only missing 3 5*'s. It's not as bad as GH3 expert ot GH2 expert.

For the full effect, you really need 2+ ppl, so you can play world band tour

I still haven't beat the final GHIII boss on Medium yet so I'm sure it will provide plenty of challenge for this wannabe
