As Brian already mentioned, Bob is doing quite well. Personally I'm amazed at his attitude and his spirits given what he was just through...he really is quite inspiring

You're right Hacker I've been too busy rearranging the furniture in the new office and didn't have a chance to wish Indio good luck and a speedy recovery.

Something tells me I have a forced retirement coming up My boss dropped in for a visit and said 'good choice as a replacement'. When I get back to work she will probably have changed the lock!

It appears that the old fella still has some fight left in him afterall.

I just heard that Indio was able to get it up this morning and as a result he is being discharged!!



In other breaking news, riot police have been dispatched to the Montfort Hospital and reports indicate that a man in his 50's with one bum leg is sitting on a bed in a johnny shirt screaming at someone named Olga to "Hurry the Hell up and put (him) in a wheel chair so that he can go home and smoke"........

The Physioterrorist put me through my paces I tell ya... 90 minutes worth of pure hell! She wanted to make sure if I was going to get out early, she got her jollies out of making me pay for it!

This place really is a nice little community! Thanks to all of you for the words of wisdom and a special thanks to Hacker and Big Mac for dropping by and cheering up the old guy! I still can't believe that Hacker tried to talk to my room mate Even he couldn't get through to him! He was also very very ** that they moved me out of the room that night! He couldn't believe that I would want to change rooms because he was noisy. As he put it, I only want to talk to you! Hellooooooooooooooo

I wa actually abe to ride a stationary bike today or the first time in I would say 20 years !!!! It may not sound like much folks, but when you haven't been able to bend your knee more than 80 degrees for that long it is an awesome feeling

He says I am about 4 to 6 weeks ahead of schedule and MAYBE I will have my driving ban lifted next week!

lots of pain, but he said get used to it cause I have at least 8 more weeks of that the morphine just doesn't do much for it anymore

Yes, I have been climbing the stairs for about 3 or 4 days now (no more day-bed in the living room). and he may let me shed the crutches this Friday if I beg enough! I am walking (well a reasonable facimile) around the house without crutches or cane right now. BUT, its the ability to drive that I am looking forward to

I had to laugh at the therapist today, I was asking when I can hit balls into a simulator and when I can go back to work! She looked at me with a smile that only a woman can give you and said 'you haven't even had the stitches removed yet'

I got my driving privildges back today! Only short haul (30 min) drives for the next month, but I got her back! Finally a bit of freedom! (oh ya, but only if I am not taking pain killers)
