It'll just breeze right over us, you watch. We'll get 10cm maybe, tops.

I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

All I can say is.....................RETIRED, no need to go anywhere Other than some Christmas shopping I really do not need to go out.

Just like the good ole days ---had to walk 4 blocks to the bustop through 3 feet of snow at 6:00 in the morning-----not kidding guys---1963 we were on split time at Bell High school--classes started at 7:00 am and 1st shift went home at 1:30. Construction was delayed for the new high school on Woodroffe----and we did have one snowfall like that I can't wait to see what's being cancelled for tomorow I'll bet we don 't see a snowplow on residential streets until Thursday One thing is for sure-the shopping malls will be cleaned---for every lost parking spot at this time of the year it means approx 500.00 less income for the mall

FOUR BLOCKS? That's all? That is weak Why when I was young I had to walk 4 miles uphill through farm fields to get to school
Seriously, I rode a bus approx. 30 miles one way to highschool. Man I can remember some days it was downright scary riding that bus in the winter. There was not too many "SNOW DAYS" back then. You got on the bus and away you went.
One day the driver thought he could barrel through a big drift on a side road. Yeah right, he barreled into that drift, got about 8 feet in and came to a dead stop The guys got out the back door of the bus and made our way to the front and we got it moving enough he could back out. He saw the plow coming, waited and once it was plowed out we were on our merry way. Man that drift must have been 20 feet long, 5 feet high and he thought he could drive through it
Ahh the good old days!
Your city needs to look at how to manage their plows better. My street has been plowed twice already this morningMy opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Apparently we have 400 pieces of snow removal equipment--the only trouble is--they are all separate pieces waiting to be assembled And its still snowing like hell

I was just out to get myself a Timmies and some other stuff. Now I have an Expedition 4X4 and believe me, it was an adventure.... the plows have been nowhere near the streets, not even major streets but your right, the parking lot at one of the smaller parking lots was clean as a whistle
I am about to go out and shovel my rather wide and long driveway for the 2nd time today to avoid breaking my back tomorrow.
Anyone know a company in Orleans who will accept a seasonal contract at this point in the season????Proud member of the 2009 OG/TGN Ryder Cup Champions

The answer I have been getting for the past week is 'sorry, we are all booked up for the season'
I Should have thought about this before the snow came I guess and as of this Friday, I won't be doing much shovelling for the rest of the season!

They said I would be having my Christmas dinner with them, but I am really hoping I can really progress with the physio fast so I can get out of there early I am going to be a weight lifting freak morning, noon and night for 4 days! Unfortunately the physio room is in a temporary trailer out by Montreal Road and it means I have to go outside for about a 100 yards to get there.... but I am going to try and get there with my walker even if it kills me!
