So is it better to shovel multiple times or wait until it's over and do one major shoveling?
Multi-shoveling allows the drifts to refill the shovelled areas, which leads to more snow moved. If you need to go out today you'll have to dig out, but if you are staying put I'd say shovel once it's over.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

I'm thinking that being on time for work tomorrow is already an impossibility......

I'm a fan of the multi-shovel... you may end up moving more snow in the end, but it's much easier to move 2-3" of snow 3-4 times than 15" once.

As expected, I am stuck in Chicago tonight. On the first flight out tomorrow AM.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I even shovelled a back roof. I had 3 feet of snow up there and the snow was covering the roof vent.

I bought a snowblower this year because of my back injury and I'm loving every minute of it... Took 45 minutes today to remove all 45 cms of that white stuff. Never seen so much snow before Xmas that I can remember. Freaking snow banks higher than the top of my snowblower - had to do it twice!
I might have to get someone (my wife???) to shovel the deck in the backyard. There must be 4 feet of snow on the damn thing!!!
Bring on spring!!!

I live in an apartment with 7 units and the parking situation is pretty screwed up when it comes to snow removal. Luckily my father gave me a call tonight and brought over a plow to clear out the laneway & part of the street so we'll be able to get out tomorrow, that probably would have taken a couple hours to do.
I think I'm going to have to upgrade his X-mas present a couple notches.Let's put a Smile on that Face!

quote=Hacker;226562]So what you're basically saying is that I should stop hoping that what we have will melt so that I can get in one last round................[/quote]
Hacker I am (or was) with you. But after spending 2 1/2 hours outside tonight getting 4 vehicles out of snowdrifts, I think I finally give up and admit defeat to the possibility that we are not going to get to play another round outside again this year. My husband keeps reminding me that we only have a couple of weeks left in 2007 for any possibility of another round, but my clubs have still not made it to the basement yet!! Guess this week is the week that they are going to make it down there!!
We had to drive from Kemptville to Morewood and back today and the roads were just horrible, mind you not much traffic, but there is no way many people are going anywhere tonight unless they have a 4x4 and even with that we were plowing snow with our undercarriage!
Even worse is I booked the night off to attend a family Christmas gathering and now come to find out that they gave everyone the night off and shut the plant down (hahaha a snow night), have never heard of that before!!Never dreamt I would ever get so hooked on this game!!

got back just after noon. There is one half of my driveway shovelled, the other half has 4 feet of snow on it. My street is plowed but one lane. My luggage is still in Chicago, as is about 30 people that were on my flight. They wouldn't let me have it at the airport last night so of course, it is still there....
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.
