personally im not into the big truck thing... yes they are safer... more fun to drive? uh maybe not. i drove the new escalade for a weekend and it was a pain in my butt. i would much prefer to be driving a 2 door coupe, sure they arnt as safe but i'm a live on the edge kind of guy

that is unless i had a use for one... IE towing a boat, or putting dirt bike in the back or something like that... which i do see in my future, but ill worry about it when the time comes

actually statistically big trucks are one of the least safe vehicles to drive...they have the highest % of severe / fatal injuries ... and their roll factor is very high.

That being said, they are solid, so getting hit by someone is usually ok, and most of their bad figures come from driver error (speeding etc in something that has no weight in the back and has potential for roll is an accident waiting to happen)

as for the escalade, if it was anything like the envoy i know exactly where you are coming from ... at night it was impossible to reverse ... you couldn't see a damn thing. Nice thing w/ a truck is they are the easiest thing in the world to move around once you are familiar w/ their dimensions.

That indeed was the car really really I wanted when I was in university. There was an SI-R badged CRX here for one model year, maybe two. Japan had the SI-R Type R.

i dissagree. my TJ was the easiest thing to move around cuz you could see the front and the back. parking that thing was an absolute dream. i could get in any spot as long as i had 3 inches front and back.

the escalade however was the biggest pain in the butt to park. you cant see . my parents had a pacifica, which has HUGE blind spots, and that was still easier to park then the caddy

The funny thing is I'm due for a new car next year when my lease is up, and I'm drawn to cars that have similar characteristics size wise / power to weight ratio wise... the new Volvo C30 for example - it gives me pause to think...

    SO HOT

3.6-liter, twinturbo, V6, 473 HP. all wheel drive. for $70k

some independant guys took a couple GTRs to the dyno and they got figures over 500 HP.

i dont know about you, but for the same price as a vette i would rather be driving that!!

    or theres this.

    2009 Toyota FTHS (newveau supra)

HYBRID V6. 400 HP (estimated), rear wheel drive

0-60 in 4 flat (or so toyota claims, ill believe it when i see it)

gonna be a little more pricey than the GTR though. and i still like the GTR better!

dude, i'd take the GTR in a heartbeat. the price of a vette, but drives and handles better than a 911.
i love how the drivers manual has a picture that says "do not mod GT-R", just makes u think that the nissan guys werent messing around when developing this thing.

i think somebody threw out 508hp, but i'm not 100% sure.

they hit showrooms very soon! cant wait to see the nosmo version....this thing will be a monster. About time Nissan started selling there top cars in N.A.. The R34 and S15 will go down as some of the best cars when it comes to racing, just for what they have done in Japan...just think of what they could have been if they were over here!

I have been stopping myself from getting a R32 the last couple of summers....but think the RSX is going this summer so who knows!

    pic of R32
