New Golftown in Kingston??
Saw this on the Flagstick site:
There is a lot of action in the golf retail sector these days. Nevada Bob’s will have a new Central/West Ottawa location coming soon. Also on slate is the opening of the new East Ottawa GolfTown at 500 Terminal Avenue on November 29th. Word is that another GolfTown will debut in another city in Eastern Ontario in the spring.
I'm guessing this has to be Kingston, though Belleville and Cornwall are also possible.

This is great news for my hoing but terrible news for my pocket book. It must be confirmed, they are hiring in Kingston.

Very excited about this finally happening. Does anyone know if the store's gonna open March 13th without any hoopla? Think there'll be any opening day door crasher sales? Is that sort of thing their style?

I was to the opening of the Ottawa East store, they had opening week sale one of the big ones I remember was they had the Callaway X driver on half price for $100.00, Adams Idea Pro's for $199.99 Wilson golf balls 15 pack for $9.00.
There was a lot of stuff and free draws too.
Only three more sleeps to the grand opening that is if we get any sleep, LOL

Ahhhhh the feel of Golftown.
Some decent sales but not as many as I thought there would be. I think that there mostly GT-wide sales and not especially related to this opening. Reps were on-hand which is very nice. The general manager (Suzie) is very nice so that's an added bonus.nice_lag

Very nice store... very good grand opening. there was a rep from every company helping out which was really nice, as the sales staff were very busy. they were lined up at the cash when i walked in. the store looks exactly like the east end ottawa store.
