Will the Patriots cover the 24 points?
The latest odds are Pats -24. Will they or won't they cover that?

McNabb is out of commission, so the Eagles will be going with their backup QB. His loss plus the fact that the Eagles are visiting New England suggests to me that Philly won't be scoring too many points. Given that the Patriots have been averaging 41 points a game, it could be a very long evening for the visitors. And the home team has every intention of scoring points. Here's a segment of an article from the NFL site that makes that crystal clear:
"In Sunday's 56-10 victory over Buffalo, Brady threw for five touchdown passes -- four to Randy Moss -- and the pair didn't come out of the game until there were 11 minutes left. Brady said he stays in the game because the team still has things to work on, but he also acknowledged that he wants opponents to be intimidated by the prospect of playing such a proficient team.
"We're trying to play extremely well," Brady said on the radio this week. "We're not trying to win 42-28; we're trying to kill people. We're trying to blow them out if we can." "Proud member of the 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Ottawa Golf Ryder Cup teams.

"we're trying to kill people"? I don't think that was the smartest thing that ever came from his mouth. I'm telling you, Brady is going to get cooked on a late hit eventually.
Today will be ugly, no doubt. I'm thinking 61-6, without exaggeration.Donny Vantage NFL Guru, since 1974

61-6 may be a bit high as Philly's D, although not that good this year is usually better than that. I will venture to say 45 - 10.

I am going to have to say yes, as well. I think they will cover every spread for the rest of the season, besides Pit maybe. It is looking like that, anyway..

Ewing theory potential here, Feely looked pretty good last week replacing McNabb. I say the Eagles cover.

Well, less than two minutes in and NE has scored a defensive touchdown.
I think the spread is in serious danger in the first half. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

9:30 p.m. and the Eagles are leading. Amazing. I underestimated Feeley. This fellow can play. The Eagles defence isn't too shabby either.

For one I have to agree with John Madden (it pains me). Why Feeley took that shot down field against Samuel, is a real question. He played 3.5 solid quarters of football and then did that. Sure if the ball had of been caught for a touchdown everyone would praise him, but he still be giving the ball back to the Pats with 5 minutes left.
I was expecting to see my Eagles get blown out, but their Offensive line and Defensive secondary really came to play last night. I'm still just a little unsure if Welker has some sort of cloaking device embedded in his jersey.Let's put a Smile on that Face!
