My name is Stephen, Emmanuel is my 12 year old son. I live in Mendocino county north of San Fransisco. We don't have a lot of courses around here but I try to wear out the one's we do have. Been golfing for the last few years, handicap of 18. I am not a long hitter, just try to hit it straight and manage the course. Hope to be hearing from you folks from time to time.

Hi Stephen and Emmanuel - Welcome Aboard the Board!!
We have a reasonable number of courses around here, the only problem with them is that they are currently covered with snow
I hope that you don't mind if we live vicariously through you for the winter season

shoot 6 and write down 5 ?
I tried that earlier this year as I was new to the handicap thing. Improved my lies, took mulligan's, posted only the good rounds and got my handicap down to 12.6 . In the first match play after that I got slaughtered. I now post honest scores with no monkey business and do much better in tournement play.
Thank's for checking in, I know you are kidding !

It's actually quite cold (for us at least) at about 34 degrees this morning, but it will warm up nicely later to about 65 ish. As the local course will be quite crowded due to holiday players and I played 131 holes last week I will be playing tennis and dirt biking with my son this weekend. I have a new Adams 1 i-wood (hybrid) in transit and can't wait to try it out soon. What's the temp in your area ?

Hi guys--welcome aboard--yeah the snow thing got us yesterday--about 5 inches of it---it makes it a little hard to hit off the T-Box---we are looking for 6" tees---and its a little hard to get a good stance with snowshoes on---never mind replacing the cleats---they keep falling through the holes in the webbing My wife and I are off to Arizona for 6 weeks in Feb and March---it just a good drive from California for a quick round isn't it?
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?
