    If you had to choose.....

    which one would it be?

Cobra Pro D w/ Proto By You shaft

    or

    Adams BUL w/ Prolaunch Red?

Any feedback would be great as well anyone might have on either of these drivers. Off to bed before night shift, I'll check in a bit later, thanks.

Havn't played either but you are trying to get an Adams bag so it seems...Adams it is, plus you will still be able to hear after hitting the Adams unlike the Cobra!

But i do like that Proto shaft!

i really liked the Pro S, so i imagine the D is just as good. Never really liked the Adams, couldn't get my head around the shape of it. The cobra is relatively loud, but compared to the FT-5, it shouldn't be louder, or more mallet-like sounding!

When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Cobra. With the Proto. Sweet combo.

I am not sure what it is about Adams but their clubs have never done anything for me.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Not sure why I didnt see this a while ago....

But while at a Demo day, I tried almost every single driver from all manufacturers. The ones that stuck out in my mind for distance and accuracy were the Cobra Speed Pro X (Deep Face), and the Callaway FT-5. Taylor Superquad felt good, but with a V2 shaft, the 'stock' shaft wasnt performing very well for me, it was all over the place. Switched to the 9.5* set on draw with a V2-65g Stiff and hit little draw after little draw. Couldnt get along with the Sumo and Stock Stiff to safe my life either. I tried out an Adams...meh, not my cup of tea. Titleist 907 D2 9.5* with VS Proto wasnt bad either, I got a better ballflight that I anticipated, a nice surprise.

In all honesty, the driver that I most talk about when the Demo Day is brought up, is the Cobra Speed Pro D with the 'stock' VS Proto. A real point and shoot cannon, surprisingly forgiving with a super hot face.

I would go Cobra. Having hit the Cobra I can say that it is loud and long. I haven't hit the Adams.

After a brief "range" session at GT today, the Cobra was the clear cut winner. Averaged about 15-20 yds longer, accuracy was about the same for both.

Geoff do a favour for the guys you golf with if you buy that Cobra. Buy them some ear plugs because that thing is just plain LOUD. Any I have heard sound like a frying pan hitting a golf ball.
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I didn't find it at all loud, and I was hitting it in the sim bay at GT. Usually anything that sounds loud, is even louder in those bays.

    Coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobraaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!

Seriously, I was going to pick up a Speed Pro D earlier this year, but decided to buy a 905R instead. However, I regret that decision, and am e-lurking on eBay for a Pro D.

I agree... it's got more noise than a Titleist, but it doesn't give the migranes like that FT-5 you let me try.
