My mistake, I just know the link was posted back when the Ryder Cup was in the planning stages.
As for next year's Ryder Cup, I know that there is another Toronto Golf forum in the works and will be up and running SOON. Also, I have a feeling that the Ryder Cup will live on next year and I would venture to say that every one of last year's TGN team will be a part of the new forum.
TGN is in a nosedive right now and I don't know what they're going to do to fix it.
It just might be too late...Proud Member of the '07, '08, '09, '11 & '12 TGN Ryder Cup Team!!!

WOW, this is Guitarman's last post. He got banned for this? WTF?
They seem to be editing / banning everyone. It's getting WAY out of hand.

Hi ap_logan
Well the owner of the site went into my private signature line and changed it without my knowledge. I thought a little curtisy request would have been nice and professional. Couldn't even leave my name or the list of clubs I carry in my bag. Two months earlier I had changed it, at the request of a Mod, and never revised it again, so 2 months ago it met their own rules. I'm probably 2" away from getting aboot . Now I never did mention the site did I?Kind regards, Harry

A friendly "..can you please remove.." would have been nice yes. Seems they/he is jumping into personal profiles now. I saw that a while ago while cruising around. Not very professional indeed Harry. But what do you do? Its 'their world'. Your probably better off anyway if you used up that 2".
I dont think it matters if you mention a site around here, they are pretty easy going.

I just checked in and noticed 2 things real funny:
Joe at Oakville Golf introduces himself and his professional credentials + accomplishments.
I check a previous post and my 'Owner [MOK] Inflicted Signature Line' has vanished, deleted entirely. Now they don't even like what they insert themselves.
Yes 'it is there world', while most of the heavy posters have left for here.Kind regards, Harry

I am sure you all remember the reason our veterens went to Europe for during WWII. The actions over on TGN by MOK remind me of why they went over there. I just bet he feels he is losing control of his forum so anyone who steps out of line in his opinion is being banned.
Nice work MOK, and we just know you are over here reading the comments
Hey Big Shooter does it offend you that you have been banned from TGN? I bet you have been kicked out of better establisments than that
Just think, all this movement because someone from New Zealand made a comment about Harry's websiteMy opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

So is that entire forum
Dan runs a tight ship here, however he does not run a dictatorship. You can voice your opinions as long as those thougths are within reason.
Apparently the owner at TGN feels threatened by this forum. Otherwise why would he delete Big Shooter's post then ban him for that reason?

I doubt that was the reason he was banned. Why are people on this site stirring the pot over there? I have followed things on TGN for a long time and it was not like they were banning people for absolutely no reason. Is OG going to suck up to the banned and bring their drama over here now?

Most of the recent bannings over there have nothing to do with flame wars or rudeness.
The rules here are very different. Nobody gets banned for posting links to other sites or non advertisers. We are free to share golf information that is helpful to golfers.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

Add one
Not really been on TGN for long, but you can add me to the list of jumpers.
I just can't stand the amount of bickering. I think I am one of the younger guys around these forums at 29yrs old, and if I find the behaviour on TGN immature and somewhat beneath me, I cannot imagine what some other more "experienced" members might think.

I have to agree with you. But not just on TGN, but on other sites I'm sometimes shocked to finally see the age of a poster. And when I think back to some of the remarks they've made, I know I'd be ashamed if that was me doing those things at that age. But with the anonymity of the internet, you're going to get stuff like that unfortunately.
But you'll find there is the humourous postings here, but you'll find a much more mature crowd here."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

Yes, internet anonimity seems to bring out the worst in people. This is part of my justification for using my name and not an alias. People hide behind alias', think that a clever name somehow distances them from their own actions and words. its not specific to that site either, as you mention.
Anyhow, hopefully the grass IS greener on this side of the fence.
Cheers,
Chad.
