I think if you make it to the final stage of Q-school and the first couple of finishes outside the cut that makes it to the PGA get either partial or full exemption on the Nationwide tour.

Thanks Geoff....That should help the boys make a little cash next year if they don't make it past Q-School.

It does take some pressure off for sure. I know there is a certain amount of guaranteed spots on the Nationwide for the guys that just miss getting their PGA cards. But the exact number I'm not sure of. But I'm pretty sure as well, just making it to the final stage of Q school, gives you some status on the Nationwide as well.

Too bad Adam Speirs didn't make it on, he's a Winnipeg guy that I have had the pleasure of playing with a couple times, his father is also a great player and has won the Provincial Seniors before. Also, Adam has qualified for the US Open twice now.

Good luck to all those who moved on.

I think after the 25 plus ties that get PGA cards, the next 75 or 80 get full exempt status on the Nationwide. Everyone else gets conditional status, but I don't think that gets you in many tournaments.

That sounds about right, I can't remember the numbers I once heard.

Is this being shown on the Golf Channel?

Usually the final round of the final stage is shown. Not sure about the other rounds though. I'd assume so.

According to this link it looks like they are airing from Saturday onwards.

I really enjoy watching Q-school particularly the last couple of days. Call me sinical but there has to be something said about playing for your life and not money (inderectly).

Here's the answer to the question:

"The next 50 players, after the Top 25 and ties earn their Tour cards will receive fully exempt status on the Nationwide Tour next year. The rest will have conditional status."
