Sean Avery's Antics
After seeing Sean Avery's antics over the last 3 games and knowing that 99% of players in the league want to see him gone, why do you think the Rangers gave him a chance and do you think he should be in the league?

Why do you think the Rangers got him? Not for his overall goal scoring ability. He is a rash and he winds other teams top players up and gets them off their game. I bet every team in the league would take Avery if the price was right.
Didn't Toronto have a guy named Domi who basically did the same thing for most of his career? Leafs Fans love Tie, they have Sean! Besides, why do they call Tucker SIDE SHOW BOB? HmmmmmmmmmmMy opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

East answer. Avery is one of those players that every team would not mind having. he is a pest, and the Rangers play much better hockey when he is in the lineup. He picked up Elisha Cuthbert too..
My name is Paul. And I'm a golfaholic.

Who and when did anyone ever call Tucker this?
As for dragging Tie Domi into this, I wouldn't suggest he had stone hands (unless fighting). He's gotten just as lucky as Chris Neil has in his life with their goal scoring "prowess". Biggest difference between Domi-Avery and Neil as the latter usually looks like a whiney b when he's getting dragged to the box.
Oh, and one of the other noticeable differences as mentioned above, is Avery and Domi are the kind of guys you hate to play against, but enjoy the fact he's on your team. Neil doesn't have the same cache in the league.

Apparently you have not heard him called SIDE SHOW BOB? I am not a LEAFS fan and I have heard him called that many times. By LEAFS FANS TOO!
Must be a southern Ontario name He was acted like a moron more than once in his career!
I am not saying I agree with what Avery did on Saturday night. But it takes two to tango and Tucker stuck his yap right into the mix. He had to know what was coming. If he doesn't know what Avery is like by now then he has been hiding under a rock.
Avery had the Gordie Howe Hat Trick, 1 Goal, 1 Assist and 1 Fight! My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

What's interesting about the Gordie Howe Hat Trick is that Gordie himself only ever had one of them!
So if Sean does it again, he'll officially take that dubious notority with him!Twitter: @Scott_Fally

Avery is at it again. This time he went after someone battling cancer. If this story is true, he's truly a despicable human being. http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/...159f9d&k=10168

Either the league steps in an deals with Avery or something real bad is going to happen on the ice. Someone will take his head off. He is just another black eye for the NHL.

while I would be the last guy to side with Tucker, Avery crossed the line here....
"An unidentified Rangers player agreed, telling a Toronto radio reporter that he wanted to strangle his teammate for what was apparently said."
I wonder how his teammates feel now....I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Avery reminds me like Claude Lemieux, Claude scored a little more, but they are both great at getting players off their games. Do they cross the line too often? Of course they do, but they also are VERY good at getting players off their games. Tucker had 9 PIM and both Tucker and Blake had 0 points. So yes he did go over the line, but he seems to be effective.

I love players like Avery and Lemieux, BUT, if what that article said is true, I think that crosses a line. Trash talking is fantastic, but I think there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed. Illness is one, Zidane's sister is another.

I guess the NHL did't care all that much, Avery received a $2,500 fine

How can you guys compare Lemieux with Avery. Lemieux was a pest but mostly in the play-off something that Avery doesn't know much about.
Lemieux should be compared to Lindros. Let me see the stats.
Lindros : 396 goals -- 526 assists -- 922 points
Lemieux : 459 goals -- 484 assists -- 943 points
Note 1: stats includes regular season and play-off. Yes, Lindros played less game but the idea in the NHL is to play as many games that you can.
Note 2: Lemieux has more goals than Lindros in the regular season.
Lemieux was a winner but his antics were getting boring... Avery, well he is just a big mouth. His teamates didn't complain when he was suspended by the team in Los Angeles. I wonder how many of his teamates will defend him in New York. Remember his visor wearing fr*g comment (defense: some of my friends are french), now cancer comment (some member of my families have cancer), etc... This guy
just has no class and shouldn't be in the NHL.
Note: I don't know him just judging by what he does on the ice...
