Facing back-ups

Serious question here. Does anybody know how many times Toronto has faced the opponent's backup goalie this year? It seems like quite a few.

actually, the Leafs have a fairly decent offense. It's their defense that is the problem.

Ya, but they face backups because the other team knows that, no matter how many the leafs score, it shouldn't be a problem getting that one extra goal.

well i would guess at least half of their games, but it depends...do you call it their "backup" if the starter is injured?? I mean they have faced Gerber 3 times and Atlanta's back-up as well, but Emery and Lehtonen were injured. I know there was 5-7 games in a row when they faced the back-up goalie. I believe they are gonna face more and more back-ups as the year progresses as well.

I wouldn't count situations where the starter is injured (though I would argue that Gerber is no longer the backup in Ottawa)

They had a stretch where they faced 8 "back-ups" in a row............imagine what their record COULD be
