Bushnell Pinseeker Ranger Finders
Just about have made up my mind to purchase the Bushnell 1500 Pinseeker Tourny, haven't seen one of these things in action and was curious what peoples thoughts are on them. How many shots do you think it might help per round/ handicap wise? Are they really as helpfull as everyones hype says they are? etc any and all thoughts welcome!

All I can say is that I LOVE mine. You always have the correct distance to the pin, bunker, dog leg, whatever you want. The yardage markers and the distances you find on sprinkler heads etc. can be way off depending on where the flag is located on the green in relation to the center of the actual green. I had many shots this year where the "true" distance was a full 2 club difference from what a marker would have lead me to believe.
I found that using the laser really helped me to understand how far I hit each club in my bag, which in turn made pulling the correct club a much easier task.
I lost 4.5 strokes from my handicap this year and I'm sure that some of that is related to having accurate distances.

I was going to say pretty much the same things as Hacker, except for the dropping 4.5 strokes part. but that's because I've already dropped them.
I'd say for me the rangefinder is good for about two strokes a round. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

i can say by far the best addition i have added to my bag this year. well wortht he $$. much better than GPS iMO. Laser gives yoiu very very accurate distance to just about everything on the course. as well, it is amazing for th range to find out just how far you hit everything. once you have one of these and use it a while on the range, you will be able to say with confidence what you 100 yard, 120 yard etc club is and know that you will hit that distance
go for it, i can not say enough about my bushnell 1500

I loved mine. It made a huge difference per round on couse management. I don't think I played a round without using mine even when there was GPS in the carts.

I have the Yardage Pro Tour (the small hand held one) and have never had a problem picking out targets from 200 yards in, which is ultimately where you need it most.
Shooting at big targets, trees on corners of doglegs, etc. it's good for 300+.Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I love mine, it really helped my wedge game, getting all clubs to exact yardages really helps when playing outside tournaments as well.

the 1500 is by far the best, sure it does cost a bit more, but the range is fasntastic. you will accuratly see every shot you make, no problem lettig you know when you have hit a 290+ drive, and it is perfect in picking up the pin from anywhere under 400 yards.
i woudl spend the $ anfd get it over the other models.

Ya might want to reconsider that..........at least if you have the kind of luck that I do. I let a very good golfing buddy borrow mine shortly after I bought it and sure enough, it decided to stop working after he returned it to me.
GT exchanged it for a new one no questions asked, but I felt bad and I know that my buddy felt bad too.

Do you guys have the model that measures the slope as well? JVincent. Does your model factor in the slope?
Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 w/Slope Laser Range Finders
Bushnel Pinseeker 1500 Laser Rangefinder features built in slope 20 5103:
Although the distance ranged at 150 yards, the 6 degree incline in elevation makes the shot play like 166 yards. The PinSeeker 1500 with Slope +/- shows compensated distance through the rangefinder, taking the guess work out of changes in elevation.

Chief, the units with the slope calculations in them are illegal to use in any competitions so I don't know why they're even selling them. I've had the Bushnell yardage pro tour for about four years now and love it. I may buy the 1500 over the winter.
