Betting discussion rule change
I have done some research and found this document:
The Legality Of Internet Gaming In Canada http://gaming.uleth.ca/agri_downloads/1449/lipton.pdf which contains the following section:
Exceptions to Prohibition
“Private Bets”
Section 204(1)(b) –sections 201 and 202 (i.e. “betting”) offences N/A to “a private bet between individuals not engaged in any way in the business of betting”
The moderators will not resopnd to, get involved with or intervene in any way with problems that may arise between users who have issues resulting from betting arrangements made here. This is not the same as a buy/sell deal. You are 100% on your own.Last edited by Kilroy; 11-03-2007 at 08:38 AM.

Anyone else think this changed because Mpare got too deep into Dan's pocket? Getting some partial credit for opening up a whole new group of suckers, I mean potential playing partners?

Exactly. We only run a forum. It's legal to bet privately and we are not running a gaming business so it seems to be OK. If someone becomes too "active", ie: using the forum to attract wagers, I will ask them to stop but proposing fun private bets won't be prohibited any more.
