People are slow enough on the greens as it is. This is the last thing they need.

This is something that might bend the rules. Also if you use this ,what happens to your true handicap?

Come to think of it ,I class this the same as range finders. I just think of these as outside interference. Just a thing in the back blackness of my mind.

Seems to be based on a single break (L or R), only. I think it could be used for a double break, but it would require practice and guess work. What about a partial break where you have to run across a ridge for part of the putt but flat on either side?
I doesn't really tell you anything about distance control, which in my opinion is even more important than getting the break 100% correct (if this is even possible).Back at it.

Don't sweat it Garth. Eventually there will be a device where you don't even have to leave the house to go to the course anymore. All you'll need to do is think about playing, and the system will automatically enter what you would have shot. No more trudging, flailing, swearing, etc. Golf nirvana...
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Yeah I have a comment. Learn to read greens with your eyes or stay a high handicapper! I can picture it now. someone in the 4 some ahead of me walking all around a green with that thing in his hand. Then he steps up and 3 putts!
I once watched a guy lay down flat on a green to read a 6 foot putt. He got up, lined up and missed. Then he got kneeled down to check out the 3 footer coming back, got up, lined up and MISSED. Finally made a 1 footer on the third try Meanwhile we were standing 150 yards away laughing. What a waste of time, and that gadget is a waste of money IMO.My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.
