Why do most of you use the invisible mode?
Do you get paid or compensated for your services?
Do you sneak into other members inboxes?

No worries Lance, it definitely isn't top secret

All forums have a closed 'mod' section and I know from experience that it is best that it is locked from public consumption

However it is some of the best reading!!!!

Oh, there's compensation all right.

Geoff is granted a 'prima nocta' right over all clubs on the forum, with a few exceptions.
Lance holds prima nocta rights for Scotty Cameron putters, and other items that help him accesorize on the golf course.
Chris joined up under the promise that Geoff was going stick to Bstone equipment only, so he would take over the Prima Nocta rights, but has been predictably burned on that score.
Nat used to have those rights for the lefty side but has chosen recently not to excercise them.
Colby, from my understanding, is either being blackmailed by Dan, or Dan is holding his SCUBA gear hostage, one or the other, I can't remember.
And Jarred was given the right to delete nine out of every ten short jokes.

All these compensations are considered taxable, and the dirty little secret about our mods is that only some of them declare them come tax time.

I have to say that since leaving as a mod, I really miss two things...

1. The extremely high pay

2. Being able to go into everyone's PM boxes and see what they are secretly up to...

Anyone can use the invisible mode. It's not just for mods.

Moderating is a volunteer thing. Please be nice to the mods.

Do you sneak into other members inboxes?
No. Mods cannot look at your PMs.
