So far so good. There is a lot less rust on Ray's game than I was expecting

He played well, but he certainly allowed a lot of rebounds. It's a good thing that the Senators' defencemen were able to clear the puck.

I was at the game and just got back. He was quite shaky in the first period. Almost seemed lost at times. But he played solid. Nothing spectacular, and like Mike said, the D did a good job of clearing the rebounds. The Team 1200 gave him the second star tonight, I wouldn't have gone that far. When I think back, he stopped 31 shots, but there may have been a handful that were somewhat difficult. The team made him look better than he was tonight. But a good team always makes the goalie look better regardless. Seemed like he had a problem early with pucks to the catching hand, but by midway through the first it seemed like he got it sorted out. Maybe just a bit hesitant. Good to see him back between the pipes, maybe he and Gerber can push each other to be the best they can be.

Keep in mind, it was Florida

I think the Sens are in a good position right now a the few teams around the league that are looking for goalies.... notably the Pens who are looking for someone to act as a mentor for their young goalie
Who should the Sens trade if anyone? I am on the fence on that one but I do like Ray's spunk.Proud member of the 2009 OG/TGN Ryder Cup Champions

I'm really starting to lean toward keeping both for right now. Come trade deadline someone will be REALLY wanting a goalie and we can probably extract a little more in return.
In the meantime we have the internal competition thing going which is always good and we have a good insurance policy in case one of the two goes down. The thing that concerns me is that we don't have a proven guy down on the farm to act as the back-up if we trade someone away

Elliot played well, but one game does not a goalie make
