Weekday - Memberships
Hi,
I am looking into getting a weekday membership for next year. Can you recommend one? I live in Nepean and work in downtown. Something with good practice facilities for short game. (Budget is around 1500-1800)
Stonebridge and Emerald links are good candidates... yet, are there any more options?... Not interest in initiation fees.
Looking for something that I can play early-early morning or after work...
Regards

Both EL and SB are good choices and the price is about the same.. I was a weekday "member" at SB for 3 years before switching over to EL this season.
The big difference is that SB is NOT a membership, no club storage, no RCGA handicap, no club events - intersectionals etc.. SB has good practice facilities - for now - apparently they are building townhomes on their range sometime in the future.
EL has the choice of 3 nines and the pro shop staff is very good about making sure members get to play, even when you show up at the last minute. IF they are having a tournament you can go and play Cloverdale. Membership is small but growing. They are scheduling more and more club events and may re-establish the mens league next year based on demand.
If you are looking for golf only both are good choices - if you want a membership, EL is the way to go.If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Have you thought about Reservation Masters Platinum edition?

Yes that is correct. In fact they wouldn't even send you off the other side for a quick nine holes before work. In general they showed no flexibility at all and treated their "season pass" holders like any other green fee players.
Things may be different under their new management. If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

If that is your range why not just get a full membership at Manderley? approx $1700 That way you can play weekends as well.
Back at it.

Thanks...Mandeley states Saturday, Sunday and holidays only after 2:00 p.m... so I guess so far EL (I played EL on Sunday with a member and he said that they let you go around 6:00am)
