    Emerald Links

    Hi all,

Has anyone ever played Emerald Links?

I wondering about stuff like course condition, difficulty, etc.

    Thanks

    played it a ton

Course conditions are excellent (played the south nine last week). Everything is green, lush, etc. It's not overly long, but can be tightish with small difficult greens. It's a shotmakers course and genererally pretty challenging. There are 3 nines, East, West South. The east is the tightest of the 3. Overall, for the price, a good course.

Dont forget bug repellant if going at twilight.

Most of the greens are protected by deep bunkers, too.

One of my favourite courses in the area. In a word, nice!

Played the new 9 and it was stunning. The course was in great shape as always and worth the money.

    Thumbs up

Played there with my father-in-law a couple of weeks back for the first time. We really enjoyed it although I didn't hit my first fairway til the 10th hole. Very lush and well kept, can't wait to play again.

Best course in the $40-$50 range in Ottawa.

Fairways in very good shape, greens are always great and usually a good speed (never too slow)

    27 holes offering good variety

It is a real shotmakers course. If you can hit it straight to around the 230-245 mark, you will do just fine. Par 5's are reachable for hitters in the 270+ range.
