    Best Two Piece Ball

Looking to try some two piece golf balls. Looking for something long of the driver, has a soft feel, and a ball that you can actually get to check up on the greens on approaches. And looking for something under $25/dozen. Let's hear your choices, and if you choose other please post what ball you are referring to.

I like the AD333 and the Exception on that list. You still can't beat the Strata TL Tour price wise, but that isn't the type of ball you're looking for I guess.

Pinnacle Exception is the only one on the list I have ever hit.. and I would say for the price you can't beat that ball.

I do like the TL Tour, but they are only on sale because they are stopping production. I have a couple dozen of those, but looking for something that seems to be a staple that at any time I could drop in a buy a dozen for a reasonable price.

True, but you still have to deal with 'New and Improved!' balls from your list. The AD333 I think is getting a 'new' design this year, maybe they're already out. The Exception is basically the NXT Tour, isn't it? I like the Bstone E6 as well, but they're on the expensive side for a two piece ball.

Although I can keep balls around much longer now than I used to, I still don't like paying $40-50 for 12 balls. If I can find a cheaper alternative to the high end balls that give me almost the same performance (I'm not a big spinner of the golf ball to begin with) I'll start playing those.

Of the balls on the list I have played both the Wilson 50 and the Srixon AD333. The 50 kicks the pants off the AD333 by a mile IMHO.

Putting my money where my mouth is, I had a couple of Golftown gift cards that I just used to stock up on 50's for next season since they are coming with a bonus sleeve of Tx4s right now.

If you want to do a side by side of those two (AD333/50) I can let you have a few.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

You're right, but it seems like balls like the NXT, Exception and Noodle have been around for a few years. So improved or not, those are options that seem to stand the test of time.

Well, I have not tried most of the balls on this list either. But I now carry the Big Bertha Blue and love it. It has a soft feel. I can stop the ball dead with wedge shots and it is long off the tee. To top it up ,the balls do last a whole round with no issues.

Great ball for a great price.

Ack I gave away most of the dozen Wilson 50s I got from the Bell Classic...guess I should have kept more.

I like the new Exception and the D2 Feel.

The Bridgestone 2 piece are definitely worth playing as well.

    best 2 piece ball

Top Flite is the best due to the price and the feel is very soft, like the ProV.

Mid to high handicapper may not see any real difference from most balls.

Until the skill allows one to begin working the ball the spin rates do not differ that much. Consumer reports rated the Nike Power soft as the 2nd best ball considering the distance and spin. However, I don't find them preferable to others like them.

If I could not play a ProV, the next would be ... the HX Tour. The Nike One is okay but I don't find it worthy of the cost.

$ for $ the Titlest NXT Tour is the best due to spin, distance and durablity. $24 per dozen is not bad. If your buget does not allow then the Top Flite is the best.

I work at a course and find alot of balls and hit a lot of balls. My handicapp is falling from 20 to high singles and I am now only willing to justify a more expensive ball if I was to pay retal for them. I just don't see the ball making that much difference for the 15 and up handicapper.

As a matter of fact, a better ball may hinder their improvement because while standing over the ball they worry about loosing a $4 ball rather than concetrating on their swing.

The best money to spend is on quality lessons. I don't teach. But have learned that a couple of lessons from a good instructor will go far towards improvement. I have been there. One lesson corrected a lot of problems that put me on the way to
improvement. The stack and tilt and the No Back Swing have also done wonders.

    Good luck,

Wilson 50. $24/dozen, soft and no loss of distance.
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I've been loving the D2 feel this year. I've gone through a pretty major swing change and this ball has helped me keep a few extra dollars in my pocket for the additional lost balls this season.

Just picked up a dozen Wilson 50's with the bonus sleeve from GT/. Looing to see how it compares. A little more expensive, wondering how it compares to the D2 feel. Can anyone compare the two?
    Thanks!

I also looked at the AD333, but it didn't feel soft at all when I took them out of the package.

Like the D2 feel, good distance and good feel on iron shots.
Also like the AD333 for the same reason and they're on sale at GT.

I have used both the D2 feel and Big Bertha blue and fine the blue to be a bit longer.
