    Rain Gear

I was just wondering if I can have some feedback on good rain gear. What do people use and how satisfied they are? Make and model please?

Also, has anyone bought rain gear from ebay?

    Thanks

A little late to be looking for rain gear now Rez. We got soaked during our round about a month ago.

Jarred is correct for a change. If money is no object, ZR rules.

In general, if you want RAIN gear and not "a few drops of water" gear you really need something with GoreTex. Most of the big brands have GoreTex in their top lines.

I have a Nike GoreTex suit that is going strong after 5 seasons now. When you amortize the $400 over that period it's not too bad.

SunIce makes good stuff too. I picked up a "light-rain" jacket off ebay this summer for about half of what it would have cost me at the Golftown.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

MEC has pretty good gore-tex stuff. You can get a jacket and pants for around $200 total, about half the cost of the name brands.

I have owned a Second Skin short sleeve rain jacket for 3 years and have not had any issues with it.
I remember when my wife bought it for me at Christmas, it was on sale for $40. Now that was a great price.
As I said it works, keeps me dry and I have worn it in some hard rain storms.

I bought a pair of Dunning rain pants this past winter off the sale rack at GT. They were marked at $69, down from the original price of $249!

Great pants, repel water, and are warm. I wouldn't wear them in a summer rain, but for the cold rainy days that are coming, they're perfect.

I have a full Sunice Goretex suit that I just love. I think it is the best looking rain gear on the market.

Expensive but worth it. The jacket was half price after Christmas so I bought it and the pants shortly thereafter. There is nothing like being dry as a bone on the course when its pouring rain. Likely cost me about $400
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.
