    Order of play?

Hey everyone. Im new to the forum but hope to be an active poster in the future. I was wondering whether anyone could help me with this question:
What is the proper order of play if 2 players' drives land very close to each other on the fairway, so that the player who is away has his opponent's ball so close to his own that he could possibly hit the opponent's ball in swinging at his own?

I was thinking that the player should move the ball a clublength no closer to the hole, but i wasn't sure.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The player who is further away may require the other to mark and lift his ball. However, the other, if he has been asked to lift his ball, may play first if he wishes.
The ball in the way must be replaced exactly where it came from.
    See Rule 22-2
