Best Bang for the Buck
Buddy and I are looking at memberships next year. We both live in the Aylmer area. We are wondering, from everyone's experience which place close to our houses would be the best membership for the price? We are not scratch golfers by any sense of the meaning so a decent course for a decent price is what we would look for. Generally speaking it would be golfing after work 4:30 PM and weekends, perhaps 3 rounds or 4 on the weekends. We also want to stay around 35 minutes max from our place. We also both work downtown Ottawa so anything with 35 Minutes (including 4PM traffic) is good.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Tks,
S.The difference between involvement and commitment are like a egg and ham breakfast, the chicken was involved, the pig was commited.

WOW---I have not heard of a course being constructed downtown as of yet I think you may be looking for the unobtainable here--the only suggestions I have would be Kingsway Park or the Dunnderosa in Old Chelsea. The drive time to anywhere on the Ottawa side of the river limits your options. Touraine may also work---of course this all depends on what time you can actually leave work.
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

Les Vieux Moulins or Kingsway are probably your two best bets. Dunnderosa is only a par 3 course, and I hear they're putting a huge mini-putt course where the first hole is next year.
