    Getting Rid of Rust????

How do you get rid of rust in the cavity of an iron? Its only on a couple, but would like to remove it just for appearance sake. And in case anyone was wondering, its a total open cavity, something like a TA3.

And if I don't have either of those what would you suggest?

A wire brush or steel wool and some elbow grease. Is it a stainless head? If so (and yes people they do rust) it will be a PITA to get off.

What if the head has chrome? The cavity is like a satin finish, but the rest of the head is chrome.

Are you sure it's chrome and not polished stainless?

Looks like you'll need the Jarred-size brush.

    Hi Geoff,
    I use never dull.

I pull off a wade and rub it into the cavity It works well on the grooves as well!

I bought a can couple of years ago and it lasts forever!

Plus it is cheap. (CTC I think)

Soap pad from the grocery store will get the job done in most cases. I've heard some people have used WD 40( soak job) on them after cleaning them to keep the rust from coming back or at least to slow down the rusting process.

Well Mr. Saint was kind enough to take some CLR to the head and got the rust off. I'll have to try it with the rest that have some rust.
