Greensmere new 9

Has this nine been rated yet?

Played it yesterday and overall, I enjoyed it for the most part, despite some hard greens and the fact it needs to mature a bit.

Not yet rated and it won't be until the second 9 opens next year. The new 9 I believe will actually be split with the first 4 holes going to one 9, and the next 5 to the other 9.

Gotta agree with you on this one jeff. Definately a great layout with all the elevation changes but wow .......... those greens are hard.

The greens were firm, but one could hold the ball if you were hitting from the fairway with a high-spin ball like the Pro VI. This is a really demanding nine holes of golf. There is little room for error, and the design of the holes (especially the omnipresent trees on both sides) can eat away at one's confidence. At the same time, the greens are fair. All in all, a very challenging nine.

My prediction is that these new holes will have the effect of jacking up the ratings. They are tough and challenging.

played the new 9 a couple weeks ago when i was up and really liked it! Thought it was a great upgrade and will be super nice once it matures a bit more, which will also allow the greens to soften up as well.

Played the new 9 this Sunday, great layout, kind of weird not seeing any bunkers though. Its a tough course from the back tees, but the views are really wicked.
