    r7 weights

I have the stock R7 425 9.5 degree Right handed with stock weights 2X12G and 2X2G and it is setup for More Draw so 12G at the heal and 2G at the toe....most of the time I will hit the ball straight but sometimes it will fade and very few times it will draw a bit.....tried different things with stance, swing etc... and same results.
Should I purchase and change the 14G for the 12G and the 4G for the 2G?
Any input would be appreciated and also if someone has some for sale.
    thanks
    Luc

No weight will compensate if your swing promotes a fade or a slice. I would not fool with the weights of the club yet until you know your swing is sound. You may also alter the swing weight of the club by adding 4g of weight to the head. Perhaps the answer lies in a launch monitor session??

I disagree Luc. I have found that the weights can and do alter the ball flight and trajectory. That being said, the difference between 14 and 12 grams is minimal and likely will have minimal if any effect.

As for the swingweight, yes it will change, but no different than if you added lead tape to the head.

Patenl, if you hit it straight most of the time, I would say you are doing all right.

Very debatable. If you were to give this club to KJ Choi and provided he put on the same swing move as he does now do you honestly believe that the he would start drawing or hitting the ball straighter with a different weight configuration?

I can't speak for KJ. I can only speak for myself. Moving the weights works for me.

Whatever works. We'll never know if it works because
    a: the shaft
b: the total weight of the club
c: face angle of the club
    d:swing move
    e:club length
    f:none of the above

We could go on forever about this topic but imho swing move is the most important. To rely on a weight configuration is risky as you still have 12 other clubs in the bag(excluding the putter) which do not have the same set up.

Why don't you do this: Use your wrench and put the weight configuration in the neutral ball flight and see how much of a difference it makes in your flight path. If you see minimal to no differnece, then the weight change won't help you.

All I am saying is that pretty much everything else being equal, changing the weights changed the flight path for me. It was significant enough to notice and I have done it several times and seen a noticiable and repetative difference.
