you could tell the long week took its toll on these boys, the golf on Sunday was nowhere near what they were both playing earlier in the week.

We'll have to see how long Knost stays an Amateur, now that he is finished school. Obviously he only gets the exemptions to the Masters/U.S. Open if he stays Am.

Not surprising that they were a little spent on Sunday. Winning the Amateur is as much an endurance test as anything.

He said in his post round he was going to decide after April (aka Augusta). I thought that even if he turned pro he was still eligible for the Open since the fact that he had won the Am and not his current status was what mattered.

no you have to stay an amateur to receive the exemptions that he won.

If I were in his shoes I'd definitely turn pro after Augusta. It's a lot easier to get into the Open than it is the Masters.

i watched most of this but missed the final day due to club championships...i saw knost alot he seemed like a very solid player to me....good for him...i only wish i was ever good enough to play in that
