    dangerous?

as can be seen in pic the bore thru shaft is not flush w/ bottom of my fw wood
re-shafted a couple of yrs ago at local biz, shaft has been at this position for approx 30rds with no further receding.
Can I just heat the head and once its hot enough push the shaft in? does it need to be pulled and re glued? Is this thing gonna come off and hurt someone?

Are you sure that this is the shaft, and not just a plug ? Check the lenght of the club and see if it is what it's supose to be. The opposite should be occuring if it the shaft. By this I mean that the head would be coming of the shaft and there would be a gap between the tip of the shaft and the bottom of the bore, not a protruding shaft tip.

Hard to tell from that angle if the shaft is actually protruding past the bottom of the hole. It's a steel shaft, so if it was you would be able to tell pretty easily by rubbing a finger along it.

If it's the plug it's not a big deal.

BTW, if it's the shaft you can't just heat it and push it in. You need to pull/replace the shaft.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I know nothing about shafts or clubs at all, but I'm pretty sure what RancherJ and that picture are saying is that there is a gap between the end of the shaft and the bottom of the club. Rather than portruding, there's a bit of a "hole", correct?

Thanks gentlemen I believe I have lost a plug as indeed it is a "hole" in sole of the club
I thought it was my shaft pulling out but the ferrule or little ring is still flush with the top of the club
