I Witnessed A First Today

So I am out golfing this morning with one of the young kids I work with, at the private course. Playing in the rain

His Dad was playing along with us.

The young guy steps up on the 9th tee, a Par 3 that was playing 205 today. He has a TM 3 Fairway resuse in his hands. Hits it low and I was joking with him saying "That's a mile short"

Well the ball runs up the slope at the front of the green and starts tracking towards the hole.

BINGO NOTHING BUT CUP His first Hole In One and man he was PUMPED!

The nice thing was, this is actually the first round of golf he has played with his Father all summer. Some great memories were created this morning in the rain!

No beer, he is only 14. The club has a hole in one insurance policy but that only applies to legal age members.

The Manager bought breakfast and a milkshake for him! I had water

I told him, "Now you are in the Club and only 2 behind me" He is a good kid, I was glad to see that ball go in the hole. When I work with him he does his job and works hard.

That's great to hear. I hope someday I'm in a group when someone gets their first ace. I'll know exactly how they'll feel.

Actually he has 33 years to catch my current Hole In One record of 3. My last one came in June 2003 at the ripe old age of 47.

I've witnessed a hole in one... The group behind were four ladies and they were more ecstatic than us. One of the ladies actually questioned why weren't as excited. I believe my response was there were 5 skins riding on that hole and the shooter is my brother in-law... Anyways, he just got married and living in TO... with green fees the price of small mortgage there, he won't be making another hole in one anytime soon.

nice. i beat him though. i was 11 when i got mine. a solid 155 yard 4iron haha. i now hit 9i there.
