So was the intent of this thread to gloat or what?

Asking about stuff like 'what's your HDCP' seems a little more efficient since the question was about an average score!

    Just my opinion....

I think he wants to establish which course is easiest / hardest. If everyone averages lower at one of them will be deemed easiest. This will only be of use if a lot of people who play most of them report.

    Marshes: 95 - Played once.
    Manderly 95

    I'm basically a 95!

    Regarding quote:

I doubt it. The only person gloating isn't the original poster .

This is a webforum people have questions so they ask them some don't like and others love them.

I believed that you played tour golf...I wasn't being sarcastic! You best expand your trophy case, as the OVGA and the Citizen should be right up your alley next year as an amateur!

    dH,

I have no problem with this thread. I was just pointing out the obvious and hoping that this doesn't turn into a 'who shot what' thing.

I think it's an excellent thread, that would have useful information about the relativity of scores on different courses played by the same people with their strengths and weaknesses. I only wished I could participate but I haven't played the courses since I'm 500 miles away .

My scores, but I haven't played EC, Marshes or Kanata since I've improved my game to the level I'm at now. I'm hoping to break into the 70s at EC during the forum day.

How far back do you want to take this average? As Geoff points out a lifetime average vs one weighted to the last few years would be very different.

I'm too lazy to go through my scoring record, but here's what I think mine would be.

    (i) Eagle Creek 84
    (ii) Stonebridge 81
    (iii) Marshes 82
    (iv) Canadian N/A
    (v) Greensmere 76 (I've only played it once and I'm pretty sure I shot this)
    (vi) Manderley N/A
    (vii) Glen Mar N/A
(viii) Greyhawk - Predator 79 (Shot that this year)
    (ix) Greyhawk - Talon N/A
    (x) Kanata 85
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

    (ii) Stonebridge 85-92
    (iii) Marshes twice 85-83
    (iv) Canadian 77-81

    (vii) Glen Mar 78-84

im mostly in that range at those courses Stonebridge being the most inconsistent for some reason, and Emerald Links i have a hard time, and i love hitting low irons of the tee, should play easier but never works out forsome reason.

I'm surprised the scores for manderly are so high, I would have expected them to be at the low end of other comparable courses.

There are quite a few holes at Manderly that demand alot of accuracy. If you don't have it that day its quite easy to make a big number.

Manderley is not an easy course. There are several very tough holes and some holes that are "breathers". Slope for Central - North is 129 from the whites.
