Watts Takes Bell Tour Championship to Top Off 2001 Cisco Junior Tour

Arnprior, ON – Aug 20, 2001 – Tom Watts of Brockville Golf Club fired a two over par 72 to lead the Cisco Juniors at the year’s final event, The Bell Tour Championship. Watts edges Perth’s Darryl McEwen at 73, and Ottawa Hunt’s Andrew Jensen, and Smiths Falls’ Garrett Healey with 74s.

In the 10-14 age category, Kyle Tobin of Cedarhill took top honours with a 78. Pembroke's Matthew Huhta finished closely behind with a 79. In third place were three golfers, Jason Simac of Camelot, Patrick Doyle of Smiths Falls and Marc Etienne Bussieres of Champlain.

The Cisco Systems Junior Challenge team was selected following the championship. The top four point getters over the course of the year represent the Cisco Systems Junior Tour at the Ontario Junior Team Championship in Midland, ON on Aug 29-30, 2001. The top four on this year’s team are: Tom Watts, Brockville Golf Club, Andrew Jensen, Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, Jordan Burwash, Hawkesbury Golf Club and Patrick Muldoon, Smiths Falls Golf Club.

The successful Cisco Systems Junior Tour ends another successful campaign.
