Knee Injuries
Has anyone here ever hyper-extended their knee? I'm pretty sure that is what happened Sunday.
Just wondering what the recommended treatment is and what could be the possible damage or what damage could occur."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

I've done it in the past. Let me guess, did you step in a hole or ditch?
I'm guessing it was just a mild one, in which case it is unlikely to have caused permanent damage. Mine have gotten better with just taking it easy. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Actually was playing road hockey for the first time in a long time and I was running to get the ball on someone's lawn, and it had just rained. Getting close to the ball I started to slow down, but then I started to slide on the grass but when I got the edge of the grass where it meets the driveway my left leg suddenly stopped. It has a bit of a slope to the edge of the driveway which was why I stopped as opposed to sliding right onto the driveway. Its still quite sore and tender.

Sounds like you need to act your age.
Remember, cold will make it get better while heat will make it feel better.
Should I bring the extra strength Motrin for Wed/Thur?Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

We were playing for all the little kids that showed up. And you're never too old for a good game of road hockey.
As for Thurs, I'll be fine, I'm just walking with a bag. Tomorrow will be the interesting day. Might have the real slow tempoed swing going tomorrow. Less torque on the knee."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08
