    lie angle

Just curious if anyone out there has ever had the lie angle on their clubs adjusted in either direction and if they felt there was a significant improvement or increased sense of being in better positions throughout the swing because they were not compensating for lie angle that did not match their swing. Please no lectures on lie angle and ball flight or swing mechanics. Just let me know if it made the difference you suspected and hoped it would. Thanks.

I've had lie angle adjusted on all my irons when I bought them last year. I'v also had some wedges adjusted at Golf Works in the Collonade business park - about $4/club as I recall. Once they did it while I waited, another time they were done before I returned a day later.

Thanks. Did you determine your optimal lie angle using dynamic testing with standard clubs or trial and error with different lie angles

Before I bought my irons last summer I went for a club fitting at Kevin Haime's to determine my specs. I hit my own clubs as well as test clubs with a variety of grip sizes, lengths, lies and shaft flexes. Then a couple of weeks later I purchased clubs and tested them to determine the required adjustment. Then I had the new set modified to be 2* upright. When I bought the wedges in the winter I had them bent 2* upright and they seem to fit in with the rest of the set. Before, with my old set I generated divots that wer toe-deep. This resulted in some pushes. Now when the ball goes astray it is unfortunately due solely to the person swinging the club.

Nolrac. Did you? Was it worth it? Did you notice a difference?
