NCGT Ryder Cup is back in Black!!

Looks like some of the Green Team members might have sore butts this morning, as Team Black put on a whoopin at the Annual NCGT Ryder Cup yesterday at The Meadows golf course.

Team Black took an early lead after the Best Ball portion with a 5 1/2 to 1 1/2 points and never looked back en route to a solid 22 to 13 win over those pesky Green Team members.

yup....all good. It was a long day and I was grinding it big time on a few holes but managed to shoot 41 in the best ball and 40 in my singles match. Note my two blow up holes (2 triples) came on the 9th and 8th respectively, after each of those matches were done. Nice to play well after sucking wind for so long.

Sorry for the date change but we wanted something more suited for golf weather. Yesterday was absolutely great for golf. Not too hot and definately 20 degrees warmer than july last year.

Yes it was hot last year... Thats ok Steve I know you did it to keep me from playing JK.. We had the first round of our club qualifier for border and valley league (kinda like intersectionls) yesterday so I had to be there.

Not going to post any nat, I only got a couple and the quality is crap. Still trying to figure how to get batteries in properly.

Congratulations to all Team Black members on a worthy victory, and a big thank you to all Green Team members for continuing to try right to the end, even though we had already been defeated before the singles matches began. Next year some of us on Team Green will beat you Team Black members with our crutches if you build up to large a lead, but you'll have to promise to stand still so we can catch you. We're too injured to run after you!

All of mine and Gilles' matches were great, going the distance in 4 out of 5 (and the other one went to the 8th hole) against Robin and Mike. Great company, great competition, and great fun.

Mike, I hope the hand and ankle are feeling better.

the odd thing is this wierd swing is still bombing drives out there a mile ... although the same cannot be said for my long iron shots which started to fail me i nthe last month or so, and now I think i know why. :@

It was great fun and Claude and I put up a good fight, we won the morning best ball and lost the scramble but we both came through our singles matches. Like a true team, I carried Claude in the first 9 and he carried me in the afternoon 9, we both gave strokes to our opponents in then singles but still won, I think the kids were tired!!! The old guys pulled it through but congrats to Team Black
