Exactly, to have to buy stuff right now. That's why I'm looking to swap.

Why not branch out like I have done?
    Cobra driver

    Titleist fairway 3 & 5
    TM Hybrids
    Ping G2 irons
    TM Rac Satin Wedges
Yes, TaylorMade or Scotty Cameron putters.
Wilson 50 Balls, or PRO V's (When I find em! Pensioners can not afford new V's )
    Ping Bag
Adidas Shoes, Bite Shoes, Etonic shoes.
Titleist, Cobra, Ping, & STG&CC hats

Spread the love around Geoff! That way you make more money in endorsements If I had to wear a shirt with my equipment logos on it I would look like a Nascar driver or one of those European Team hockey players

Well you'd have to buy a driver regardless. My understanding is you have no driver right now and you have irons, woods, and wedges for trade.....

Yup, you're right. And I don't want to have to spend more than $90-100 on a head. I have some extra shafts kicking around. But as for the others, I don't need to swap for like new stuff, that's how I was planning to do a complete swap without having to spend any cash. For instance, if I could've sold my irons in time for my asking price, I'd been able to pick up those TM 300s and have some cash left over for other stuff. But I'm affraid I'm too late for those.

C'mon Geoff, don't be a fool. You were doing so well. You just posted a thread about how great it was to have a bag that didn't change, and how much you liked your current setup. Just man up and throw a crappy old driver in the bag until you can find the driver you really want at the price you can afford. Don't mess with a setup that has been working so well just so that you can say all your clubs match. Nobody is going to notice, or care. I just don't get the logic: "I can't have one club that I really want, so I'm going to give up thirteen others that I really like to get 14 others that I have no particular desire to play...but at least they'll match." Don't be a fool, stay in school. End of rant

Don't be a fool, stay in school????? Good one. Ah, the clubs are doing all right. I figured I'd swap once this season, so why not now. I was just looking for a reason.

Well, since you don't seem sway-able....go with Cleveland. They make the best wedges, and some of the prettiest irons.

Wait a minute. Aren't you playing a Scotty (or maybe a Nickent?) Your "Bridgestone" bag is already ruined then. There's no need for this firesale. Just get a driver to match your putter, and then your Bridgestone clubs will be nicely framed on either end.

Putter is always excluded from any complete bag. Those are my rules.

I think you should wait a couple of weeks to trade or get new sticks a day or two before you play your intersectionals. That will make a few guys happy.
When I was at another course one guy did that and couldn't hit the new ones at all.

    Keep what you have.

I have a 10.5 degree head which is a dead ringer for the Titleist 983K. Bore through. I could be talked into letting it go. Maybe

That's like saying you're dating the prettiest girl in the trailer park! When you get compliments at The Keg, then post it! j/k

Did you quit your job too? I'll sense conflict there if you didn't between your recent distaste for golf.

I've got a suggestion that wasn't on the list. Why don't you see if you can find yourself an all Bridgestone bag. I hear they're pretty sweet sticks.

In all seriousness though, obviously cash is an issue at the moment., but how likely is it that you'll find someone who's got a one brand bag and who is crazy enough to just switch their entire setup? Obviously I don't have the trade expertise you do, so you probably have a better chance of making it work than me, but I doubt there are that many other crazies out there. I guess you can always include some "future considerations" if necessary.

    The possible new sponsors are:

    Taylor Made
    Callaway
    Nike
    Titleist
    Cleveland
    SMT
    Golfworks

My wish list would be as follows for each sponsor:

    TM:

Seeing as how I will be demoing a 510TP from Reid, will go with this as the driver of choice
FW: R7 3 & 5 or 4 wd set up (all subsequent set ups will be the same either or) may also consider low lofted Rescues as alternatives to fwys.
Irons: Something TPish or Forged 300s, possibly LTs or LT2s
    Wedges: Some Y-cutters preferred
Putter: Gotta stick with the Pipe for all set ups

    Callaway:

    Dr: FT-3 Draw
FW: Big Bertha Fusion or FT-3
Irons: Something Pro Series or X-Tours
Wedges: Forged or X-Tours (need the MD grooves )

    Nike:

    Dr: Ignite or SQ
    FW: Ignite or SQ
Irons: Blades, Pro Combos or Slingshot Tours
    Wedges: TWs or SV Tours

    Titleist:

Dr: 905 something, but not the S
    FW: 904Fs
Irons: Could be anything, but 704s have always been a favourite of mine
Wedges: Vokey SMs if I can find them

    Cleveland:

Dr: Launcher 460 or another try of the Hi-Bore
FW: Launcher steel, not a fan of the Titanium, maybe a Hi-Bore fwy
    Irons: TA1 or 3s, CG1 or 2s, possibly 4 if Tour
Wedges: CG10s have always been a favourite

    SMT:

Dr: Have always wanted to try a DB
    FW: Solitaires
Irons: Combo set of the 303s
    Wedges: Durometers

    Golfworks:

    Dr: CT-250 Max-M
FW: CT-250, or the Troube Out Plus
Irons: MCC Forged, MMB Forged, MTF Forged
Wedges: M-Series or CER 8620 Oil Soaked

(or I may go the value route and do a complete Distance Master line up bag)

So feel free to vote away!
Lets break it down a little here then......

Taylormade Superquad is a Rocketlauncher (IMO) (510TP as per your post is solid)
Fairway woods...meh...I didnt find them spectacular
Irons RAC TP Combos are nice
    Y-Cutters are damn fine wedges.

Callaway FT-5 is a great stick! (FT-3 is awsome, just smaller)
2004 Fairway woods, or X are really nice
New Forged irons are sweet looking
X-Tour wedges are very nice as well....

Nike Sumo/2...YUCK! (IMO) ( I would have to go ignite...if anything)
Fairway woods (SQ2) rock for some reason, not like the driver.
    Pro Combos are sweeeetttt
SV Tour wedges are very nice

Titleist 905R (or T) is solid.
904F are solid as well, and deep.
    704 irons...mmmmm buttery.
    Spin Milled...need I say more?

    Cleveland Launcher 460/Comp hits BOMBS
Launcher Steel Fairway woods are not bad.
    Iron...heres a tough one. Prob. CG2's
    Cleveland Wedges...industry standards.

I'm not going to even go Golfsmith or SMT, your a club hoe for god sakes! You need BLING!

Problem with Taylormade is the fairway woods (personally), Nike has a discusting driver (again, IMO), Titleist has great bling appeal but you better be on (rep for tough to hit), Cleveland is easy to hit & go a mile but fairway woods are finicky, Callaway is pretty much solid all around.

Its hard to recommend clubs for somebody you have never really met, but if I were to pick a set, I would only be able to narrow it down to three.

Taylormade (if you get along with the FW's, its a great set, especially with the Superquad!)

Callaway (probably the easiest set to get along with)

Cleveland (easy to hit, great looks, probably the cheapest set...whats not to like?)

Well judging from what Geoff has for trade, it's possible he might be able to land some of the offerings mentioned above. Keep in mind though, most of them would likely want money on top of what he has for clubs, and he's already stated he doesn't have $130 to spend on a J33P off eBay.

    I'd vote Titleist ...

The new drivers are getting great reviews & they've always had tonnes of great irons to choose from ... on top of that, vokey wedges ... it's a very well rounded list of equipement.

my 2nd choice would be Nike .. not a fan of their driver, but LOVE their pro combos.

my bottom 2 would be cally & TM ... never liked much that came out of their company...but that's just me.

Why'd you edit your previous response? It was much better.
