Who should be my new sponsor????

Seeing as how I don't expect good news regarding my cracked driver, I will be looking to "sign" with a new sponsor. Just wondering what other's thoughts would be be.

    The possible new sponsors are:

    Taylor Made
    Callaway
    Nike
    Titleist
    Cleveland
    SMT
    Golfworks

My wish list would be as follows for each sponsor:

    TM:

Seeing as how I will be demoing a 510TP from Reid, will go with this as the driver of choice
FW: R7 3 & 5 or 4 wd set up (all subsequent set ups will be the same either or) may also consider low lofted Rescues as alternatives to fwys.
Irons: Something TPish or Forged 300s, possibly LTs or LT2s
    Wedges: Some Y-cutters preferred
Putter: Gotta stick with the Pipe for all set ups

    Callaway:

    Dr: FT-3 Draw
FW: Big Bertha Fusion or FT-3
Irons: Something Pro Series or X-Tours
Wedges: Forged or X-Tours (need the MD grooves )

    Nike:

    Dr: Ignite or SQ
    FW: Ignite or SQ
Irons: Blades, Pro Combos or Slingshot Tours
    Wedges: TWs or SV Tours

    Titleist:

Dr: 905 something, but not the S
    FW: 904Fs
Irons: Could be anything, but 704s have always been a favourite of mine
Wedges: Vokey SMs if I can find them

    Cleveland:

Dr: Launcher 460 or another try of the Hi-Bore
FW: Launcher steel, not a fan of the Titanium, maybe a Hi-Bore fwy
    Irons: TA1 or 3s, CG1 or 2s, possibly 4 if Tour
Wedges: CG10s have always been a favourite

    SMT:

Dr: Have always wanted to try a DB
    FW: Solitaires
Irons: Combo set of the 303s
    Wedges: Durometers

    Golfworks:

    Dr: CT-250 Max-M
FW: CT-250, or the Troube Out Plus
Irons: MCC Forged, MMB Forged, MTF Forged
Wedges: M-Series or CER 8620 Oil Soaked

(or I may go the value route and do a complete Distance Master line up bag)

So feel free to vote away!

No love for the Wishon line?

I'd go with SMT from that list.

Unfortunately not, too expensive brand new, and too hard to find stuff used.

I voted TM as you have a 510TP right now and there is a set of 300s for sale on the board for a solid price.

Well you only get one vote, so you have to pick one, but I'm assuming it won't be Nike.

    Not a choice!

Actually thought about those, but other than being able to get my hands on some irons and a driver, the rest of the stuff would be hard to come by.

Trust me, I thought about it long and hard, and came up with those choices because most stuff is readily available for a quick bag change if need be.

Too expensive right now. Whereas I could swap my stuff out and not have to put forth a cent. Maybe even get some back in my pocket. My stuff is in pretty good shape.

Was that with the clubs when I was over there the other day? I don't remember seeing the bag. I do remember seeing one in GT once, a very nice bag indeed.

So are you saying I will be in the same league as Tiger if I switch to Nike?

    Nike it is then.

Only thing about Nike, haven't they scammed most of the technology from other companies for Tiger and then essentially tweaked them with a swoosh? I thought early on he was playing either mizuno or macgregor type blades that Nike called "prototype" Nike Blades?

Geoff, I'd go Cally. Or Mizuno (if big easy's iron heads are still up for sale). The fw show up on the board from time to time.

You'd actually be shocked how much of Tom Stites' technology is out there with other companies. He was with a few others before Nike. I'd have to do a search to see just to what he contributed to.

I'm not sure how it would be more economical to swap out your entire bag over just bagging that 510 TP and keep what you have.

Never said it was more economical. Just said I probably wouldn't have to spend anything if I could swap stuff. See I'm odd that way, I'd prefer to have everything in my bag be from the same manufacturer. Not sure why, but I've always been that way. Just puts me at ease. And having that TP in there with all the Bstone stuff would just drive me crazy.

Any thoughts about going with a "mixed" bag...best of the best? Might be cheaper in the long run too?

I don't have the extra cash kicking around right now. I think I mentioned that already at in a previous post.

You also just mentioned changing all your stuff wouldn't be the most economical thing to do either.
