Why Duval hasn't been playing much of late

I always root for the guy... when at the height of his powers he seemed to be the only one who might not back down from Tiger... this story is from April, so I googled him to find out where he'd been this year... five tournaments entered, three cuts made - so he wasn't going Craig Perks on us or anything...

What happend to Duval? why / what caused him to loose his game / stop playing tournys on the PGA tour?

its gotta take something huge to get the former number 1 player in the world to just stop showing up... did he just loose interest in the game? or medical problems?

he was in such good shape during his last few years, correct me if i'm wrong but doesnt tiger woods use something similar to the training regiment that duval used?

He was diagnosed with vertigo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertigo_%28medical%29). For a golfer, that could end a career, or make the world's best player fall out of the top 200.

Prior to the vertigo, and after he won the British, I think he also hurt his back, and tried compensating his swing to take pressure off his back...
